Terms of Service

In providing services through the Japan Aid PC Rescue Team, the operating company, Planet Works Inc., assumes that the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions.

The PC Rescue Team service (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) provides assistance in resolving computer problems, connecting and configuring related devices, setting up software, configuring networks including the Internet, and offering operational guidance.

  1. Service Scope

The PC Rescue Team’s services apply to equipment that meets the following conditions:

  • Personal computers and peripheral devices.
  • Devices running Windows Vista or later, or Mac OS 10.6 or later.
  • Devices with a valid license and product ID.
  • Peripherals and applications supported by the operating system installed on the PC.
  • For any other operating systems or devices, service availability will be determined upon consultation at the time of request.
  1. Services Provided

The Japan Aid PC Rescue Team offers the following types of services:

  • Troubleshooting computer problems
  • Connecting and configuring computers and peripheral devices
  • Installing software and updating it to the latest version
  • Providing operational support and user instruction for hardware and software
  1. Fees
  • The fees for PC Rescue Team on-site services are based on the Company’s official price list. (Fees are subject to change without prior notice.)
  • Payment is generally due in cash upon completion of the work.
  • Credit card payments, bank transfers, or cash-on-delivery arrangements are also accepted upon request (any handling fees or related costs are borne by the customer).
  1. Warranty / Refunds

If the service is clearly incomplete due to the Company’s fault, or if a problem arises because of improper work, the Company will provide free support or issue a refund up to the amount paid directly by the customer, provided the issue is reported within two weeks after the service.

  1. Handling of Personal Information

Any personal information obtained from customers will be handled appropriately in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy.

  1. Important Notes
  1. Although the Company takes the utmost care during service, it cannot guarantee data integrity under any circumstances.
  2. Even after work has begun, the Company may terminate the service without completing it in the following cases. In such cases, the basic fee and other charges will not be refunded:
    • When the requested work involves illegal acts such as handling pirated software.
    • When the necessary equipment or environment is not properly prepared due to the customer’s responsibility.
    • When the PC or related devices cannot operate properly due to fatal defects.
    • When devices have been illegally modified, or the customer does not agree to necessary terms during the service, making it impossible to continue work.
    • When a device has been entrusted to the Company and remains unclaimed for 90 days after final contact, the Company will consider the ownership of the device to be abandoned and may dispose of it. No compensation will be provided in such cases.
  1. Disclaimer

The Company assumes no responsibility for any damage incurred by the customer under the following circumstances, even if they result from the Company’s work:

  • When the work causes the device to fall outside the manufacturer’s support scope.
  • When customer data is lost.
  • When damages result from causes not attributable to the Company.
  • When damage arises from special circumstances, whether foreseeable or not.
  • When damages result from lost profits or third-party compensation claims.
  • When damages occur due to significant delays in service completion.
